Inspiring creative discovery in everyone!

The Pontiac School of the Arts

The Pontiac School of the Arts was created to provide a fun and enriching arts education centre in our community, for our community.

Through the hard work and determination of the Pontiac's talented local artists, writers and artisans along with some very dedicated community members, this dynamic and unique art school began in 2004.

Our mission is to provide a place where we can promote regional arts and culture and where qualified instructors can share their creative talents with our whole community including other artists, seniors, youth, families and visitors to Pontiac County.

The historic Stone School in scenic Portage-du-Fort houses this creative heart of the Pontiac. Thanks to some upgrades to the building in 2011, we are now able to offer courses and workshops in the fall and winter.

We offer a wide variety of new and returning favourite courses along with the opportunity to spend some time amid the magnificent countryside of Pontiac County, the undiscovered jewel of West Quebec.
